Included for all swimmers:
- Team t-shirt - pickup dates will be announced
- Latex cap - will distribute at first meet (and all subsequent meets)
Team suits
Team suits are available for purchase and encouraged, but not required. The Virginia Swim Shop will be at Boar's Head for fittings on:
- May 11, 5:30-7:30PM at the team info meeting.
- June 1, 3PM-6PM on the pool deck.
If your child has never worn an Arena suit before, it is encouraged to try on sizes and get advice. Competitive suits should be tight-fitting without restricting movement.

- Soft silicone blend
- Silicone caps are more durable and hold up better than latex caps, and are generally kinder on hair
- Personalized with swimmer's last name (helps pick out your kid in a crowded swim meet!)

Purchasing a team suit is not required. Please review the JSL Team Procedure Manual for regulations regarding swimwear (Appendix Z):
Swimwear
- For boys, the swimsuit shall not extend above the navel or below the knees.
-
For girls, the swimsuit shall not cover the neck, extend past the shoulder, not extend below the knees.
- Per USAS Memo, tieback suits are not allowed.
- Swimwear may only include 1 swimsuit, not more than 2 caps, and 1 pair of goggles.
- Swimwear may only display the logo and insignia of the swimmer’s JSL team or normal manufacturing logos and insignias.
- The swimsuit may NOT be a “Tech Suit” for all 12 and under swimmers. FINA
suits bearing a green checkmark next to the FINA logo are allowed. - Exemptions to ALL Guidelines may only be granted by the Referee for conflicts
due to the swimmer’s verified religious beliefs, medical conditions, or other
reasons deemed appropriate by the Referee PRIOR to the start of the meet.
