Volunteers
We are so grateful for the enthusiastic parent participation we have each year and hope you know that without parent volunteers there can be no meet or season!
BHSC will need 70+ volunteers for each home meet and 40+ volunteers for away meets. This is one of the things that sets swimming apart from other youth sports, where generally a handful of people can run a team: the success of a swim program relies not only on the athletes but on a very large family of volunteers every week. Each family is required to volunteer for four sessions or two whole meets each year.
It takes several people to help run each meet smoothly and according to JSL regulation. There are several positions available to sign up for during each meet, most require little to no knowledge of the position. We even have spots for older siblings to help out! SIGN UP NOW before your preferred slot is taken.
No experience is needed! You can view JSL online courses for each position here.
Meg Greenwood is our parent Volunteer Coordinator! Please do not hesitate to ask what each role entails and how to help out! Meg can be reached via email at [email protected] or cell 248-202-1491.

JSL Championship Meet
JSL Meet Volunteers Needed: Every year, we need to fill a large number of volunteer slots for the four sessions at the championship meet. If your child is swimming, please plan on volunteering at the meet. It is the best way to get an up and close look at your swimmer and help the meet run smoothly. All positions will allow you to step away so you can view your swimmer.
All slots must be filled by July 17th at noon so that we fulfill our volunteer commitment for Champs. If we do not meet this deadline, the team will receive a points penalty. Please contact Meg Greenwood at [email protected] any questions or how to help!
Sign up will be available here by mid-summer.
